Public relations office hours

Book an hour. Leave with a plan.

PR strategy without the retainer, whether you're just starting out or rethinking what's working.

Not every business needs a full PR campaign right now. Sometimes you just need clarity: is your story ready, who would actually cover it, and what should you do first. I spent years as a reporter before moving to PR, so I know what earns coverage and what gets ignored. In a focused session, I'll give you a straight read on where you stand and a clear next step.

Do you actually need PR yet? A quick self-check.

Before you hire anyone or book a session, here's an honest gut-check I'd run myself.

  1. Do you have a story, or just a product? "We exist" isn't news. A reason you exist, a problem you're solving, a person behind it: that's a story.

  2. Is there something timely about now? A launch, a milestone, a season, a moment your business connects to. Coverage needs a hook in time.

  3. Can you handle the attention if it works? If a reporter called tomorrow, are you ready to talk, and can your business handle the customers that follow?

  4. Have you nailed the basics? A website that works, a way to reach you, a clear sense of who you're for. PR sends people to you; make sure there's something there when they arrive.

  5. Do you know what you actually want? Sales, credibility, awareness, recruiting. The goal shapes the strategy.

If you said yes to most of these, you're probably ready. If a few gave you pause, that's exactly what a strategy session is for.
