Spokesperson Training
Training that prepares you to speak with confidence.
An interview can build your reputation or undercut it. The difference usually comes down to preparation.
I train spokespeople across the US to walk into any interview ready, comfortable, and sounding like themselves.

What is spokesperson training?
It's one-on-one coaching that gets you ready before you sit down with a reporter, producer, or host. We cover the fundamentals of talking to media, what to do, what to avoid, and the pitfalls that trip people up. Then we go deeper, because a six-minute TV segment asks something very different from a forty-five-minute podcast, and radio calls for a different approach than a magazine profile.
Why my training works.
I spent years as a reporter. I know what a bad interview looks like from the other side of the camera: the guest who's so over-coached they sound like a talking head, and the guest who shows up with no idea who the audience is. Both waste everyone's time. That perspective shapes how I coach:
Personalized for you.
Every person speaks differently. I build the approach around your natural style, then work on the habits that get in the way, the filler words, the nervous ticks, the glance to the corner of the room.
Tailored for each format.
Radio, podcast, TV, print, and written Q&A each call for different content and pacing. We prepare for the specific medium you're walking into.
Ready for the tricky questions.
We rehearse the hard ones together so a pointed question never catches you flat.
Matched to the interviewer.
Before an interview, I prepare you for the specific journalist or influencer you'll be talking to, their style, their audience, and how they tend to run a conversation.
How far the training goes.
Spokesperson training can include rehearsal when you need it. If you're struggling in one area, I'll run through it like I'm the reporter interviewing you, whether that's a cooking segment, a walkthrough of your business, or a Q&A. If you have a major speech coming up at a conference, I'll coach you on delivery so you present stronger and come across more confident.
The goal is never to script you into someone you're not. Think of the difference between how Barack Obama gives an interview and how Anderson Cooper does. Neither is better. Both are completely true to their own voice. Good coaching gets you to that same place: comfortable, authentic, and in command of your message.

Who it’s for.
Spokesperson training helps anyone stepping in front of media:

What to expect.
We start with a conversation about who's being interviewed, what's coming up, and what you want out of it. From there I build a plan around the person and the format.
I take on a small number of clients at a time, so you get my attention start to finish. And when it's time for the real thing, I'm often right there behind the camera, cheering you on so you can be your best self and nail it.

Let's get you ready.
If you've got an interview, a segment, or a speech on the horizon, let's make sure you walk in confident.
